Seven Weeks into Physical Therapy

So here are some pictures seven weeks into physical therapy. Although Kellyn has had some plateaus and regressions since her four week pictures, today happened to be a "good torticollis day." I knew I had to capture it on camera. Basically, Kellyn was holding her head at mid line a lot more frequently than usual. In addition, she was not raising her right shoulder as much as she normally does.

Since she's looking straight ahead, her head tilt is less noticeable here.
Although she still has a slight C-shaped curvature in her trunk,
it's improved dramatically since the beginning of PT.

Still loves to tilt her head more when she is looking down and playing with toys.

I was super excited about this picture since she is holding her head perfectly straight up with no tilt.
A rare moment! And her eyes, cheeks, and jawline look really symmetrical in this picture.

One consistent improvement I've noticed is that she usually keeps her head mid line when laying down.
Her physical therapist reminded me that she wasn't able to do this at the beginning of physical therapy.

Baby with slight right torticollis
Although she is tilting her head in this picture, this is a pretty slight tilt for her. The good thing is that she is keeping her right shoulder down more and I can actually see the right side of her neck in this picture.

I really hope that today's progress sticks and that she does not regress back to her more exaggerated head tilt. I almost feel like today's torticollis presentation looks too good to be true. But I will really try to stay optimistic and have hope that someday this torticollis will be eliminated for the most part.
