Torticollis Physical Therapy Re-evaluation

Kellyn had her eight week re-evaluation with her outpatient physical therapist today. Kellyn must have known she had to perform because she was having "a good torticollis day." Anyways, the physical therapist noticed continued improvement in her muscle strength and flexibility. She was also happy to see that Kellyn's head tilt was negligible while lying on her back.

As you can see, Kellyn's head looks nice and straight while lying down.
Maybe she's showing off for her big brother.

While sitting, Kellyn's head tilt was about eight degrees (when looking straight on). When she looks down, the tilt still tends to increase. When laying on her tummy, her head tilt is about five degrees. So her head tilt has lessened in all three of those categories, which is awesome!

Here's the best news of all though. Kellyn's outpatient physical therapy got reduced to once a week. And the physical therapist said that if Kellyn continued to consistently improve, there was a chance she could get discharged in four weeks. I was overjoyed at the prospect of potentially ending PT; however, I don't want to count on this happening. This way, if she doesn't get discharged in four weeks, I won't feel as disappointed. I am so thankful to God for helping Kellyn improve so much and for her evaluation going so well. This great evaluation is such a blessing for our family.
