Snuggin Go Review:
The Snuggin Go is basically a supportive device that helps prevent babies from slouching, slumping, and tilting their heads in seated devices like car seats, high chairs, and strollers. It is an excellent way to provide head and body support for babies. This product is designed for babies up until the age of one. If you would like this type of support for your child from ages one to five, then you should purchase the Snuggin Go Too. On its website, the company that creates this product states that the Snuggin Go product can decrease likelihood of torticollis, plagiocephaly, and reflux.
The Snuggin Go was the only device that properly supported my baby's head and body in her car seat and high chair. We have tried other products that claim to provide body support, however, this is the only product that remained true to their promise. After using this product for one day, I immediately bought a second one to go into our daughter's car seat. I highly recommend this product, even to parents whose child does not have torticollis. If your child slouches over when sleeping in his car seat, then this product can likely prevent the likelihood of this occurring. You can purchase the Snuggin Go here.

Torticollis Support Kit Review:
The Torticollis Support Kit is an excellent kit to buy to attach to your Snuggin Go product. Please note that you must first buy the Snuggin Go, as these two products work together. Its basically a set of four black cushions that have a velcro strap that can be attached to different spots on your Snuggin Go. There are two bigger cushions and two smaller cushions. You can attach one or two cushions (depending on how much support is needed) to the upper side of the Snuggin Go that your baby tilts to. This will help bring your baby's head to a more neutral and vertical position. In addition, you can attach the black cushions to the lateral hip area if your baby needs hip support, as well. The great part about this product is that its customizable to your baby's specific torticollis presentation. You can purchase the Torticollis Support Kit here.
The Snuggin Go and Torticollis Support Kit set up in my daughter's carseat. I only use one of the four support cushions that comes in the Torticollis Support Kit. |
Before the Snuggin Go and the Torticollis Support Kit, my husband and I would often spend several minutes "maguivering" our own version of body and head support for Kellyn in her car seat and high chair (which I do not recommend doing). Often, within a few minutes, Kellyn would have pulled out one of the supportive towels/blankets we propped her head up with and we would have to start all over from scratch. It was pretty time-consuming and frustrating. Not only did it take awhile to put this together, but it didn't even work nearly as well as the Snuggin Go and Torticollis Support kit.
Furthermore, I used to feel a little uneasy driving in the car with Kellyn with baby blankets and/or cushions propping her head and body up. I worried that if we got in a car accident, that somehow this would hurt her. In addition, I was nervous that she would pull one of the blankets out and accidentally suffocate herself. Now that we use the Snuggin Go and Torticollis Support Kit, I feel comforted by the fact that these products were designed by a neonatal nurse practitioner to go specifically into various seated devices including car seats. These products definitely save us time and give us a greater peace of mind. For those interested in purchasing these products, I ordered both the Snuggin Go and the Torticollis Support Kit from Amazon.
This Snuggin Go combined with the Torticollis Support Kit works much better and is much faster to set up as compared to our previous arrangement. |
